Owners Club Advanced Race Simulation

IGG’s AI thoroughbred horses have complex genomes and phenomes inherited from their lineage that determine their potential as racehorses.

Specifically, their core attributes and genetic predisposition are determined at birth, as well as their potential if they acquire the correct learned skills.

These characteristics just set the potential for the horse. Their potential is realized by the players through the horses' training and care, as well as developing the right skills that strengthen the horses' innate qualities. The manifested in the race by the horse’s owner

Below are some examples of how our AI-powered horses intelligently compete:

  • At the start of the race, a horse’s ability to exit the start gate, get to the rail, and position itself to achieve its tactical goals is influenced by both its genetic traits and how well they have learned the various starting ability skills.

  • As the race progresses, our AI-powered horses evaluate and determine a target speed and the consumption of stamina to finish in the best position possible. Horses will work to try to shorten the race and move to the rail if possible.

  • Horses try to execute their primary tactic; if that does not seem possible, they will resort to their secondary tactic.

  • We use AI-based “flocking algorithms” to realistically help the AI-powered horses to move and form groups in the race, as they naturally would in traditional racing.

  • Horses that are in a position to draft can sense whether they can do this effectively or not. Drafting and stalking effectively require both a genetic pre-disposition and the careful learning of the skill.

  • The traditional method of event simulation is to use binary (True/False) logic in helping the entities make decisions. We use “Fuzzy Logic,” so our horses use an AI technique that helps them determine the truth of the situation.

Our AI-powered horses have spatial awareness, which, when combined with their intelligence, instructs them on what actions to take.

  • They have visual awareness of the horses in front.

  • They feel the horses around them and avoid collision.

  • They hear the horses behind them.

  • They have a drafting sensor that tells them the quality of draft they are receiving from the horse(s) in front of them. The more they draft the more stamina they conserve and the more speed they can maintain and generate in the remainder of the race.

IGG’s AI-powered horses are independent competitors vying to win each race versus the other AI-powered horses. There are no predetermined outcomes and no deterministic systems – RNG’s are only used to determine the outcome of decisions and micro-events throughout the race. Every race is unique, and it is never repeated.
