Public stakes-based racing allows players to enter hosted races of varying classes (Maiden, Allowance, Ungraded, Graded) and compete against other players. Races will be open for both Invincible Horses and conventional horses and mixed Invincible Horse races/conventional races.
The IGGT will be available for purchase through the app once minted. It's important to avoid specifying USD payouts, as this limits us to one currency. The intent of building the IGGT on the blockchain is to allow users to receive payouts in their native currency if they are (judiciary eligible), making it more accessible and versatile for a global audience
Several race qualification factors determine what type of horses can participate in each Public Race.
Rank C or Grade 3 - Lowest end horses with lower base stats than the other Ranks.
Rank B or Grade 2 - Mid-level quality horses can participate at this level.
Rank A or Grade 1 - Top-level horse that has improved by training and racing to compete among the best competitors.
Maiden - A racehorse that has yet to win a race is known as a maiden, and it's called "breaking his maiden" when it wins its first race. This usually happens in a maiden race, although an exceptional horse may get its first win in an allowance or even a stakes race. No rule says a horse must begin its career in maiden races and remain at that level until it has won. But only horses who have not won a race are allowed in Maiden races.
Allowance - In the Real World, Allowance Races are the next step from claiming races (which we do not have in our ecosystem yet). These horses are not for sale, and the entry fees and purses (the money available for horses and owners to win in each race) are greater. In Owner's Club, we put our own twist on these races in that only horses with certain prior performances can compete in these races. For example, Grade 2 horses with no wins in a Grade 2 Stakes Race or an Open Stakes Race will qualify for a Grade 2 Allowance Race.
Participating in public is one way to earn in-game currency or real money. You will earn coins/money when your horse finishes in the top five (5) positions. Typically, the purse for a race equals the sum of all the entry fees minus a nominal rake.
